My Special Memories

This picture is of an 8x10 cross-stitch that I made for Barbara. I presented it to her
back on September 1, 1991 at the
Sheboygan Co. Fair in Plymouth, WI.

This 11x14 picture is of the 2nd
cross-stitch that I made for Barbara. I
presented this one to her on
Nov. 15, 1996 at the Star Plaza Theater
in Merrillville, IN. Because of this
picture, I was the lucky recipient
of the beautiful bouquet of flowers
from Barbara pictured below. Barbara
was also kind enough to show the
cross-stitch on the TNN special
"Celebrity Homes & Hideaways". Imagine how pleased I was to see it hanging
on her bedroom wall 2 years after I
presented it to her !!! I am so proud of
this picture !!

Imagine my surprise when I came home
from work on Nov. 18, 1996, to find
this bouquet from Barbara Mandrell !!!!
It's hard to get an idea of how big
this bouquet was just by looking at
this picture. Including the vase,
the bouquet stood probably about
2 1/2 to 3 feet high & was maybe 2 ft. in
diameter. I wound up having the
flowers freeze-dried & put in a
vacuum-sealed glass case. I will
treasure them always !!
